The slow flow nipples they come with are super slow flow, like it’s hard for me to get a drop out to check the temp after I’ve heated a bottle, but somehow not frustrating to my LO (we had switched up to medium flow nipples on the avent bottles because he was getting mad at the slow flow ones they came with). My favorite thing about the Avent bottles is that they come free in a bunch of registry sign up packages and nobody uses them for some reason so every time I went to someone’s house and fed LO a bottle they’d bring out like 2 or 3 still in the packaging that they’d just give me. I used the plastic Avent bottles and my son went between that and the breast fine for a week or so until we switched to exclusive pumping (not for nipple confusion). brown, tommee tippee, lansinoh momma, and then medela.
I would rank our favorites as: evenflo, dr. I liked the evenflo a lot, but daycare wanted lo to have more than four ounces per bottle.įor reference I never tried glass. Medela bottles pissed me off, they leak if you do not have the band just right so my hubby asked me to throw away the bands and nipples and I used evenflo parts instead with those. I liked the Lansinoh Momma bottles, but everyone claimed lo would not eat from them, even though I used those quite successfully while on maternity leave. You can buy an adapter on Amazon to use Spectra flanges into narrow Dr. LO still likes the size 1 nipples, so I haven't sized up even though I have size 2 tommee tippee (may have inadvertently used some, I am disorganized, too). I pack my lo 4 5 oz bottles for daycare and have done so since lo was about 3 months, usually only 1 Dr. I have the "options" bottles, which are great for when I forget to put the straw thing in (they still work without those parts). Reason 3 Each study tests a different number of nipples for each brand to determine the average flow rate and coefficient of variation.
Reason 2 The angle of the bottle is held at varying degrees. Browns is not that bad and I am very lazy. This is especially true in a faster flow nipple, such as a level 1 nipple since the hole is larger than the slower flow nipples.
